Very pleased to be doing a run of summer dates with my longtime friend and collaborator, Cath Roberts. It’s actually 10 years ago since we first started working together under the banner of LUME. Our offshoot record label Luminous has also been a platform for us to release new music, including our own duo album ‘Disembark!’ in September 2020.
This cluster of dates sees us play with acoustic saxes for the most part (as on our album), but our first gig at Bråk will be pointing towards an area of interest we both share: electronics. I’ll be processing my sax through effects pedals and Cath will be breaking out her Lyra-8 synthesiser. This will be our debut performance with this configuration, which is exciting! We will also be recording with this set up in the summer.
