The early 80’s UK groove music scene has seen a renaissance recently. Atmosfear are widely regarded as one of the UK’s most influential bands of that period. Today the band has reformed as Atmosfear|2 led by the co-founder Lester Batchelor, the group’s original bass player. It is an absolute pleasure to play saxophone in this band!
Since its relaunch, the group has played at prestigious venues/festivals including London’s 100 Club, The Jazz Cafe, New Morning (Paris) Easter Sounds Festival (Paris) & Gillies Peterson’s World Wide FM Awards. In 2020 a new version of the hit single ‘Dancing In Outer Space’ was released, but due to the pandemic the album launch tour was postponed. 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of their debut album ‘En Trance’.
